What makes you a leader worth following?

Your position on the org chart doesn't make you a leader. Your title doesn't make you a leader. Leadership has nothing to do with your social status, your bank account, or where you reside. It's all about one life inspiring and motivating another to become the very best version of themselves.

Some people fall into the trap of believing that having a title automatically makes them a person worth following. On the contrary, you have to earn it, work for it, be an active participant, and take responsibility for what you do and say because as the leader, you have to set the tone, and you have to be the example for people to follow.

Now do an audit of your leadership and ask yourself:

- Am I the kind of leader I would follow?

- Am I inspiring my team to become the very best version of themselves?

As John Quincy Adams puts it, "if your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader."
