Effective leaders prioritize coaching, mentoring, and training their team members to eventually take over their roles. They don't cling to their job position or title out of ego, knowing that holding onto a job without grooming a successor hinders organizational growth. According to Jack Welch, as a leader, no matter the organization's size or what you do, you must be fueled by your team's success. Therefore, a leader's focus should be on inspiring their team to achieve their full potential because true leaders don't create more followers; they create more leaders.
