The Leader's Job

Many people in leadership positions believe that to be an effective leader, they must be the smartest person in their company, and if they are not, it will signal to their staff that the leader is somehow inept. On the other hand, the best leaders know they can’t meet their goals alone because they need the right people doing the right things to get the job done right.

We may be comforted by the idea that a leader knows everything, but the best leaders bring people together to find the best answers that ultimately add value to the people they are entrusted to serve.
