My Life principles

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

Growing up, I always had doubts about myself. I honestly believe that I was not educated enough, handsome enough, and allowed myself to be intimated very quickly when on the inside, I knew I had a lot to offer.

What change?

I began to believe in myself and started to think I can make a difference in the world. I learned to trust myself with my decisions and trust in God that everything will work out. In a nutshell, I stopped worrying about things I have no control over and developed the courage to try new things, to take a risk even though it may not work out.

When you make that decision to change your mindset and your attitude, there will be friction. In other words, your comfort zone will try to pull you back in the mindset that got you nowhere. There was a time in my life where I felt stuck, with no direction and confused as to what my next step will be, but God was in control, and every experience I faced was the preparation for the next stage of development in my life.

What got me motivated and inspired for life? My life principles. These principles not only changed my life but provided a platform for my continued development.

My Life Principles

Make a Decision To Change.

You have to want it; no one can change you, the change must start with you. Make that effort to develop a new mindset and believe that it will all work out.

Start Believing in Yourself.

If you have no confidence, you cannot change your direction in life. You have to believe in your gifts, abilities and know that you were created for a reason. You have something the world needs and that something is within you; to bring it out, you must have that self-belief.

Avoid Negative People

Negative people can keep you back if you allow them. Do not let the noise of other person's opinion drown out your vision, according to Steve Jobs. Try to avoid people who do not make you grow and stretch.

Find Your Passion

What's your passion; what's that thing you look forward to doing every day. If you are having problems finding your passion, take Steve Harvey's advice; "what's that thing you do the absolute best with the least amount of effort." When you identify that, it will provide a clue to your life purpose. Once you find your passion, you will live your life with purpose and drive. Once you find your passion, your purpose will follow.

Never Give Up

Never allow yourself to be depressed and sad when something you were working on did not bear fruit. Never let the world to dictate your future, never allow a negative situation to force you into a corner with no way out, never feel helpless, and never give up.

These are the principle that I live by and help me with my journey in life. What's yours? You can make a difference in someone's life.
