Good Character In Leadership

Good character in leadership commands respect. Besides being trusted, these leaders have the respect of their teams and even their competition. A person with good character is courteous, never demeaning.

They accept others and appreciate hearing opposing viewpoints, and as a result of their willingness to listen and accept, their respect increases. People with poor character aren't respected because they have shown that they will not make good choices or make decisions that are in the interest of the team.

Once a leader's character is proven untrustworthy, their ability to lead will be significantly diminished. Authentic leaders lead from a strong, personal, and moral value that can have a profound effect on their organization and inspire their team to greatness.
